Morning pick up from Calicut and depart to Wayanad
Arrive at Wayanad by 10.00am. After fresh up and breakfast proceed for sight seeing. First you will vist Edakkal Cave. Edakkal is a natural cave situated in Western Ghat’s Ambukuthi hill region. It lies above 1200mtr from sea level.There you can see the Neolithic and Old age civilization’s carvings and writings. After this spot you will move to the Wayanad Heritage Museum situated in Ambalavayal. There you can explore the history of Wayanad. After the museum proceed toSoochippara Waterfalls.
After sightseeing return to hotel
After breakfast trek to Chembra Peak. At 2100 metres, the spectacular Chembra Peak located towards the southern part of Wayanad is the tallest summit in the region. Climbing this peak is a challenging mountaineering Endeavour. Evening visit to Pookode Lake, Set in a beautiful valley and surrounded by evergreen forests and wooded hills, Pookode is one of Wayanad’s top visitor draws. Continue with Lakkidi View Point.
Proceed back to your hotel for the overnight stay.
Overnight at the Wayanad
After breakfast visit Kuruva Island. Kuruva island is a evergreen forest lies in the Kabani river, total area of this island is 950 acre. It is a home of uncommon birds , orchids and rare kinds of flora and fauna. Walking through the island will be a unforgettable moments. After this destination visit Banasura Sagar Dam, it is the second largest earth dam in Asia. There you can enjoy the boating also.
